NELLIE IBBOTT RESERVE

Public BBQ

This quirky sloped reserve in Ivanhoe has clearly won the hearts of locals, and it's easy to see why. The uneven terrain adds character to what might otherwise be just another suburban green space, creating natural tiers that families can spread across for their barbecue gatherings. Those fortunate enough to live nearby enjoy daily views of this charming pocket of greenery - a genuine neighbourhood treasure that feels more intimate than your typical sprawling parkland. The BBQ facilities sit conveniently among picnic tables, while the toilets are positioned close enough to keep the kids happy without being intrusive. It's the sort of unpretentious local spot where weekend barbecues happen naturally, and the sloping landscape somehow makes it feel more special than your average flat reserve.
